What is Gestalt Therapy?
Gestalt has no direct translation into English. Gestalt is a holistic approach. As such we pay attention to thinking, feeling, body and spirit, as well as the culture, environment, and context in which we live. We look at how we make meaning and how we organise our experiences, our relationships and our lives.
We look for patterns, for blocks, and for energy. We focus on the here and now and how our past impacts our present. We help you to understand yourself. We look at how you support yourself and how you access support from others.
How might you benefit from therapy?
Therapy can provide you with a safe space and environment to explore your concerns. It can help you to make transitions, to support you through challenges, and to develop yourself. It can help with specific problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self esteem, bereavement, relationships and difficulties at work. Issues may be current or from the past.
